This series of audio stories is a reflection on Deborah Bright's article “Of Mother Nature and Marlboro Men.” In part, Bright analyzes the cultural meanings of landscape photography in her article. This inspired me to look at the concept of what makes landscape photography most authentic to someone, and I’ve found it’s the personal experience attached to a landscape that makes it most real. I’ve interviewed individuals who have a photograph or a painting of a landscape that is presented in a space and connected to their life in some way.
